Six lakes in one day
When a bicycle tour features six natural lakes back-to-back, there’s nothing that can halt the excitement ahead of this day out. One more advantage makes this prospect all the more interesting: The water quality in the lakes is excellent. You can interrupt your tour of the lakes, starting and finishing in Guben in Niederlausitz, with a dip in the cool water or even top it off with a swim. The clean water also guarantees great natural diversity in the lakes and on their banks. Aquatic birds, storks and many other animals can be observed en route or during a rest surrounded by nature.
You’ll be able to enjoy tastes of history on the route, too, starting in Guben itself, where the streets still bear signs of a once-proud textile town. From here Poland is just a stone’s throw away – only the River Neiße separates the double town of Guben/Gubin. There are also lots of villages well worth seeing between the lakes.
