Counterfeiters’ Museum in the SeeHotel Großräschen
The museum at the SeeHotel Großräschen displays over 140 fake paintings by world-famous artists, including Lucas Cranach, Vincent van Gogh, Caspar David Friedrich, Albrecht Dürer, Monet and Renoir, Rembrandt and even Rubens. However, it is very hard to tell with these works of art that they are in fact sensationally good fakes. These paintings come from three Russian brothers and art copiers Evgeni, Michael and Semjon Posin, graduates of the Leningrad Academy of Art.
